Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript, Node.js, React)

Role overview

A senior full-stack engineering role building web application components for a cloud-based learning management and student lifecycle platform used across K-12, higher education, and corporate learning. The work centers on a TypeScript and Node.js stack with React frontends, supporting analytics-driven features at scale.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain web application components using TypeScript and Node.js. - Build and maintain user interfaces with React for an analytics-focused product area. - Develop and sustain automated end-to-end test coverage using Playwright. - Package and run applications with Docker and manage infrastructure through Terraform. - Implement and maintain session persistence with DynamoDB and deploy services on AWS. - Troubleshoot application and deployment issues and contribute to overall reliability improvements. - Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional partners on technical solutions. - Uphold code quality, testing, maintainability, and modern software engineering practices.

Requirements

- Professional experience building production web applications. - Strong hands-on proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js. - Experience developing user interfaces with React. - Familiarity with automated end-to-end testing, ideally using Playwright. - Practical experience with Docker and containerization. - Background deploying and supporting applications on AWS. - Experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tooling. - Experience with DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases. - Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and cross-team communication skills. - Advanced English proficiency for a remote, internationally distributed team.

Nice to have

- Experience with Looker or Snowflake. - Prior work on analytics applications or data-centric projects. - Familiarity with modern cloud-native application architectures. - Broader experience with additional AWS services and cloud infrastructure patterns.
