Senior Software Engineer (Ruby)

Role overview A senior Ruby engineer is needed to harden the platform infrastructure behind a taxi-ordering and mobility service used by operators, drivers, regulators, and riders. The work emphasizes performance, reliability, and operational automation rather than typical product-feature development, contributing to a backend stack that powers ride hailing, geocoding, payments, and trip history across mobile and taxi-terminal channels.

Responsibilities - Build autoscaling logic, internal tooling, and operational automation in Ruby - Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability across ride and payment services - Optimize database workloads and containerized environments for continuous delivery - Strengthen CI automation and development pipelines - Maintain and tune Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure that hosts the platform

Requirements - Solid professional experience as a Ruby developer with a strong software engineering background - Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production - Practical knowledge of the AWS stack across compute, networking, and storage - Demonstrated database optimization experience - Familiarity with CI/CD automation and infrastructure processes - Upper-Intermediate English communication skills

Nice to have - Background supporting high-volume transaction or payment platforms, including PCI-DSS-compliant systems - Comfort collaborating alongside mobile, UI, QA, and design teams in a multi-component product environment
