Role overview
Senior engineer role within a team building a unified platform used by educational organizations to manage hiring, attendance, and special education workflows. The position combines hands-on development with architectural guidance and mentorship on a .NET and Angular stack.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and oversight on solution design, architecture, scalability, and reliability. - Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of software features, from analysis through deployment and maintenance. - Lead guild activities and design sketch reviews to expand technical knowledge across the engineering organization. - Build unit tests over complex algorithms and author detailed technical documentation at the solution level. - Participate in requirements reviews with the product owner, provide high-level estimates, and help the team meet sprint commitments. - Mentor teammates on time management and long-term code quality, and proactively report progress, risks, and needs upward.
Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience with .NET, Angular, and SQL. - Strong understanding of web-based application architecture and asynchronous development in API and web technologies. - Proficiency with C#, TypeScript, T-SQL/PSQL/SQL, command or shell scripting, Entity Framework or other ORM, and RESTful APIs. - Ability to debug code, write unit tests, and contribute to test automation initiatives. - Familiarity with behavior-driven development and translating Gherkin or business requirements into technical implementation. - Comfort creating design sketches, presenting in technical sharing sessions, and working until 7 PM Warsaw time at an intermediate+ level of English.
Nice to have
- Deep understanding of QA processes, unit and integration testing, and the basics of performance and security testing. - Skills in SaaS and multi-tenant solutions. - Working knowledge of Git in continuous integration environments and Agile methodology.
