Senior Systems Engineer

Role overview

Take ownership of the platform powering a clinical data intelligence product that clinicians use at the point of care. As a senior individual contributor operating with high autonomy, you will be a peer to technical leadership rather than a support function, co-owning how the system runs day to day. The work sits at the intersection of backend, data, and AI/ML infrastructure in a regulated healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

- Own platform reliability, observability, and incident response for a production clinical AI product - Partner closely with backend, data, and AI/ML engineers on the systems they build and depend on - Work directly with leadership on operational priorities and on-call practices - Build tooling and processes that compound engineering velocity across the team - Operate as a senior technical voice in an autonomy-driven culture with a high bar for quality

Requirements

- Senior-level experience operating production systems at meaningful scale - Strong software engineering background spanning backend, infrastructure, and data systems - Comfort with incident response, monitoring, and reliability engineering practices - Ability to work core Pacific hours and be based in the United States - A clear track record of ownership, including what you built, what broke, and what you learned from it
