Role overview A senior architect role focused on designing and operating a next-generation public cloud infrastructure platform built on open-source foundations. The position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, helping shape a new Infrastructure-as-a-Service offering and supporting early customer growth in a small, high-impact team.
Responsibilities - Architect, deploy, and maintain OpenStack-based cloud environments and a Ceph storage platform. - Assess existing infrastructure to find improvements in performance, security, and cost efficiency. - Build and refine infrastructure automation using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible and OpenTofu. - Develop and maintain Python tooling that supports infrastructure operations. - Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable deployments. - Provide technical leadership, mentor teammates, and contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection. - Ensure the platform remains compliant, highly available, scalable, and secure while partnering with internal teams on new services and customer opportunities.
Requirements - 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or similar roles. - Strong background in Linux systems design, implementation, and administration. - Hands-on expertise deploying and configuring OpenStack in production environments. - Proficiency with Ceph or comparable distributed storage systems. - Solid scripting skills in Python for automation and tooling. - Experience with IaC tools such as Ansible and OpenTofu.
Nice to have - Familiarity with GPU-accelerated computing environments. - Exposure to public cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure patterns.
