Blockchain Engineer

Role overview Design and build blockchain features when a product genuinely needs decentralization, verifiability, or shared state. The work spans smart contracts and application integrations, with careful attention to security, operational readiness, and whether a distributed ledger is the right fit.

Responsibilities - Assess product requirements and explain when blockchain is or is not appropriate. - Design and implement smart contracts and blockchain integrations. - Build on-chain and off-chain components that work together securely. - Test contract code and review it for common vulnerability patterns. - Integrate wallets, indexing services, and backend systems as needed. - Document trust assumptions, risks, and operating procedures; support deployment monitoring and incident response.

Requirements - Practical experience building smart contracts and blockchain applications. - Strong security awareness for on-chain systems and experience testing or reviewing contracts. - Solid backend engineering fundamentals and relevant cryptography knowledge. - Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-specialists. - Clear documentation habits and sound judgment about when not to use blockchain.

Nice to have Experience with Solidity, EVM chains, auditing practices, The Graph or other indexing, wallet user experience, or secure key management.
