Android Engineer

Role overview Build and maintain native Android applications designed to behave reliably across a wide range of devices and operating system versions. The work spans implementation, integration, testing, release support, and ongoing quality improvements, with close collaboration across design and backend disciplines.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and modern platform patterns. - Create responsive user interfaces, with attention to usability and accessibility. - Connect apps to REST APIs and local storage. - Implement permissions, background processing, and other platform features carefully. - Diagnose device and OS compatibility issues, improve performance and stability, and write tests for important flows. - Participate in code reviews and support app releases through the Play Store process.

Requirements - Strong Kotlin skills and production experience building Android applications. - Familiarity with Jetpack libraries and contemporary Android architecture. - Understanding of Activities and Fragments or Compose-based interfaces. - Experience consuming REST APIs and using Git in collaborative development. - Strong debugging skills across devices, with awareness of user experience and accessibility. - Familiarity with performance and crash monitoring tools.

Nice to have Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow, Room, push notifications, Play Console, or Android CI is useful.
