About this role
Role overview Build and maintain an Android application for connected building access products. The role centers on delivering dependable mobile features and improving overall system reliability, with scope for engineers who want their work to have a direct impact on the product.
Responsibilities - Develop Android application features using Kotlin. - Structure application code around the MVVM architecture. - Implement networking, local data storage and concurrent operations. - Work with Bluetooth Low Energy and camera APIs as needed by product features. - Help improve application and system reliability.
Requirements - Strong Android development experience and fluency with Kotlin. - Familiarity with MVVM, Room and Retrofit. - Experience with dependency injection, such as Dagger 2, and asynchronous or multithreaded programming, including RxJava. - Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy and camera APIs. - Ability to work on an Android codebase with a minimum supported SDK of 23.
Nice to have - Familiarity with Kotlin Coroutines or Hilt, which are planned migration targets for parts of the existing stack.
