STAQ Director

Role overview A director-level opportunity leading an internal innovation pipeline that converts business ideas into delivered technology and process improvements. The role owns intake, prioritization, solution-architecture governance, and value realization across a portfolio that supports multiple business departments, while leading a small team of process engineers.

Responsibilities

- Define and maintain the pipeline strategy, including prioritization frameworks, value-realization tracking, and portfolio management discipline. - Own the end-to-end pipeline: intake, triage, scoping, prioritization, hand-off to delivery teams, documentation, and post-implementation review. - Lead recurring cross-functional project reviews and architecture-collaboration sessions to align priorities and unblock delivery. - Govern solution architecture and data-quality standards to keep the pipeline reliable and high-value. - Lead, coach, and develop the team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - Manage budget and capacity planning, balancing incoming demand against available staffing. - Communicate with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to align department portfolios and enterprise priorities.

Requirements

- 8+ years of combined experience in technology delivery, business operations, and/or process improvement, including team leadership. - Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or quantitative field such as engineering, computer or data science, information systems, or business. - Track record of delivering technology programs or products from inception through post-launch. - Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, define scope, and translate business needs into technical solutions. - Conceptual fluency in data structures, analytics, and solution architecture. - Comfort working on technical projects and with oil and gas business applications. - Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

- Experience developing or leading Salesforce-based business processes and custom solutions. - Familiarity with data tools and analytics platforms such as Power BI or Databricks. - Engineering or operational experience in the oil and gas industry. - Experience leading a portfolio, delivery, or business-process function.
