Data Scientist

Role overview Develop analytical and predictive models for products used in the power sector, taking work from early investigation through production. The role combines data science with power systems knowledge to improve existing algorithms and address customer needs. You’ll collaborate with power systems engineers and help communicate the implications of model results to both technical and business colleagues.

Responsibilities - Gather, prepare, and explore relevant datasets. - Apply statistical, machine learning, and other modelling methods to build predictive models, including time series forecasts. - Move models from prototype into production. - Refine existing algorithms to meet current customer requirements. - Work with power systems engineers to incorporate power flow and system analysis knowledge. - Provide AI-related technical support to commercial colleagues and explain findings clearly to stakeholders.

Requirements - At least two years of data science experience. - Strong knowledge of data analysis and data mining techniques. - Practical experience with data and statistical modelling, machine learning, and neural networks. - Experience with time series analysis and forecasting.
