Sr. Data Analyst - Finance

Role overview

Lead analytics work that helps teams make better product, pricing, and business decisions. You’ll partner with product, engineering, design, and pricing stakeholders to define metrics, investigate complex questions, and turn findings into recommendations for both teams and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

- Own analytics projects, from scoping questions and validating hypotheses to identifying trends and quantifying opportunities. - Use advanced SQL and statistical methods to analyze large datasets, including pricing and business performance. - Define and report product and business metrics; build and maintain the pipelines and business intelligence dashboards that track them. - Support product and growth experiments and develop analyses that inform product functionality and business choices. - Work with data engineers on data assets and feature stores for automation, advanced analytics, and machine learning. - Explain nuanced results clearly and connect recommendations to organizational goals.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as data, economics, statistics, or operations research. - At least five years of relevant data or business analysis experience, including extracting useful insights from datasets. - Experience writing complex SQL queries. - Strong grounding in statistics and econometrics, including regression and hypothesis testing. - Clear communication skills and curiosity to investigate the reasons behind performance trends.

Nice to have

- Experience with Looker, Snowflake, or Amplitude.

Benefits and work setup

- Compensation includes base pay and equity; an annual bonus may apply depending on the role. The stated base pay range is $131,500–$154,700 USD, with the final package depending on experience, expertise, and location. - Hybrid or fully remote arrangements may be available depending on role and location.
