Senior QA Engineer

Role overview A Senior QA Engineer plans and carries out testing for web applications and APIs, helping teams find defects early and deliver dependable releases. The work combines hands-on manual testing with building and maintaining automation, and includes API, database, and end-to-end validation. The role is remote in Bolivia and calls for at least five years of quality assurance or software testing experience.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and run manual and automated tests for web and API applications. - Build and maintain test automation frameworks that can be reused and expanded. - Test APIs, validate data in databases, and check end-to-end system behavior. - Work with developers and product teams to clarify quality risks and catch issues early. - Track defects and communicate findings to support release decisions.

Requirements - At least five years of experience in QA or software testing. - Strong experience with an automation framework such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. - Practical API testing experience with tools such as Postman or REST Assured. - Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation. - Familiarity with Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and the software development and testing life cycles. - Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, plus analytical, debugging, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have - Performance testing experience with tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner. - Java or Python scripting, cloud platform experience, or exposure to security testing. - Experience with large enterprise applications or Linux environments.
