Flight Software Verification Manager

Role overview Lead the team responsible for verifying safety-critical flight software against DO-178C objectives. The role combines technical ownership of verification, people leadership, and rigorous process management to support software safety, airworthiness, and certification. It also shapes verification tools and practices as the team and its processes grow.

Responsibilities - Direct and support software verification engineers and own verification activities for flight software. - Triage verification findings and coordinate resolution with relevant engineering teams. - Train and mentor engineers in verification processes, tools, and good practices. - Select, assess, and manage qualification of verification tools, including automation, static analysis, and coverage tools, according to DO-330 guidance. - Specify and work with test environments that address product needs and DO-178C verification objectives. - Perform or guide verification analyses, including control and data coupling and worst-case execution time assessments.

Requirements - At least 7 years verifying safety-critical software against DO-178C objectives. - At least 3 years in technical leadership or people management. - Proficiency with static analysis, structural coverage, and configuration management tools, plus embedded C/C++ environments. - Experience defining and using a range of test environments for software verification. - Strong documentation, collaboration, and cross-functional communication skills. - Ability to meet applicable U.S. export control requirements for access to controlled information.

Nice to have - Experience scaling teams and improving verification processes in a growing organization. - Experience qualifying tools for DO-178C/DO-330, working with certification authorities, or automating test-result and coverage reporting.
