Senior Full Stack Java + Angular Developer

Role overview A senior full stack engineering role focused on building and maintaining enterprise web applications with Java-based backend microservices and Angular front ends. The position emphasizes clean architecture, scalable RESTful services, and high-performance user interfaces, with contributions expected across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment. The work is fully remote and open to candidates residing in Costa Rica or Peru.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications and backend microservices using Java and Angular. - Build scalable RESTful services and backend integrations, applying OOP, SOLID principles, and established design patterns. - Develop high-performance user interfaces with Angular, RxJS, HTML5, and SCSS following component-based architecture. - Implement unit and integration testing following engineering best practices, and participate in code reviews to enforce coding standards. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions and troubleshoot complex technical or production issues. - Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, from design to production support.

Requirements - 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years of backend work with Java 11/17+ and 4+ years with Angular (v14+) and TypeScript. - Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns, plus experience with microservices architecture and dependency injection frameworks such as Spring. - Solid understanding of asynchronous, non-blocking programming, RxJS, Reactive Forms, and component-based Angular patterns. - Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS/Sass, and experience designing and consuming REST APIs. - Hands-on experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including ACID transactions, query optimization, and database performance tuning. - Experience with testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, and Karma, plus proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines in an Agile environment. - Upper-Intermediate to Advanced English communication skills.

Nice to have - Experience with Angular 16/17, Standalone Components, Signals, OnPush Change Detection, Angular Material, and the Angular CDK. - Familiarity with gRPC and Protocol Buffers (Protobuf), monorepo setups, and feature flag systems. - Exposure to cloud platforms and to large-scale distributed systems and databases. - Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress. - Background in e-commerce platforms, pricing, or promotions solutions. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
