Role overview
Build and maintain backend services and APIs, with a focus on integrations with other SaaS products. You’ll work with frontend developers and contribute across implementation, database performance, security, and troubleshooting. The role is remote and based in Brazil.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems, REST APIs, and service integrations. - Coordinate with frontend developers to connect user-facing features to server-side logic. - Improve application speed, scalability, and reliability. - Apply security and data protection measures, and maintain database integrity and performance. - Review code, share knowledge with teammates, and investigate defects or operational issues.
Requirements
- Backend development experience with Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, or a comparable language. - Understanding of REST APIs and web services. - Experience with a database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. - Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS or other cloud services, microservices, or backend performance tuning. - Familiarity with Agile practices and project management tools.
