Senior Platform Engineer - K8s and Delivery (d/f/m)

Role overview A senior role on the Platform team, the engineering group responsible for developer experience, delivery infrastructure, and productivity at scale. The position acts as the internal authority on Kubernetes and CI/CD, guiding infrastructure engineers, partnering with security, and helping product teams ship business-critical applications reliably.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based solutions, clusters, and supporting AWS infrastructure used by other engineering teams. - Partner with the security team to maintain and improve the organization's cloud infrastructure security posture. - Continuously evolve CI/CD systems and concepts so product teams can safely and efficiently deploy to AWS-managed services and Kubernetes. - Collaborate with product teams on new infrastructure and services, contributing design recommendations and implementation help. - Provide consultation, subject-matter expertise, and hands-on support to engineering teams across the organization. - Participate in internal rotation to support teams facing day-to-day operational challenges.

Requirements - Extensive hands-on experience designing and managing Kubernetes solutions alongside AWS infrastructure, balancing cost, performance, usability, and maintainability. - Strong Kubernetes and infrastructure troubleshooting skills, including comfort digging into the control plane, drivers, and networking components. - Solid experience with CI/CD tooling and pipelines, ideally with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and the Argo suite. - Solid knowledge of networking, security, monitoring, and Linux system administration. - Valid Kubernetes CKA certification; CKS certification is a strong plus. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
