Systems Administrator II

Role overview Support the cloud infrastructure, identity systems, and workplace platforms that keep a distributed organization dependable and secure. The work spans cloud administration, user access, collaboration tools, endpoint management, security and compliance support, incident response, and process automation.

Responsibilities - Administer AWS and GCP environments, including storage, monitoring, resource sizing, and lifecycle tasks. - Manage identity and access across Entra ID, Active Directory, and AWS, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, application access, and provisioning integrations. - Support hybrid directory configuration and synchronization, including Active Directory and Group Policy. - Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, including user accounts and collaboration services. - Manage devices and application packaging with Intune and support endpoint security tools. - Handle escalated incidents, participate in the on-call rotation, and assist with vulnerability remediation, security monitoring, and SOC 2 compliance. - Identify automation and process improvements, working with support and security teams as needed.

Requirements - Hands-on administration and troubleshooting experience in AWS and/or GCP production environments. - Working knowledge of Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, and hybrid identity synchronization. - Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. - Familiarity with SSO, MFA, enterprise applications, and third-party identity integrations. - Strong experience in two or three of cloud infrastructure, identity and directory services, or productivity platforms, with working familiarity across the others. - Scripting or automation skills such as PowerShell or Python; clear communication and ability to handle escalations and on-call work. - An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have - Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SOC 2, vulnerability management, and responsible AI governance experience. - Microsoft, AWS, or Google certifications.
