Role overview This role focuses on electronic data interchange (EDI) and e-invoicing implementation work, building and maintaining data mappings that streamline how business documents are exchanged between trading partners. The position combines hands-on technical mapping with project support in a remote-first environment serving enterprise customers across multiple countries.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain EDI mappings and convertible data formats that simplify customer data exchange - Implement country-specific e-invoicing regulations into mapping structures - Support the team in initiating and managing customer implementation projects from kickoff through ongoing support - Document mapping logic clearly and work through structured problem-solving via tickets and clean records - Collaborate closely with Integration Engineering colleagues; customer-facing communication is not part of the role
Requirements - Hands-on experience with structured data formats such as CSV, XML, and JSON - Practical experience with a mapping tool such as Altova MapForce, Seeburger BIS, or Lobster - Familiarity with applying e-invoicing country regulations to mapping structures - Strong verbal and written technical English skills - Team-oriented mindset with the drive to learn new technologies and apply critical thinking to mapping work
Nice to have - Experience with EDI standards like EDIFACT or ANSI X12 - Diploma from a technical college (HTL) or a higher IT education, or equivalent professional EDI experience - Basic programming skills to assist with troubleshooting
