Sr Product Manager

Role overview

A Senior Product Manager opportunity focused on a high-impact observability product built on an OpenTelemetry-native foundation. The role centers on owning product execution across two core areas, translating an evolving roadmap into shipped, high-quality features that serve site reliability engineers, platform engineers, and security teams operating in complex enterprise environments. It combines defined scope and clear ownership with the backing of a broader research organization, cross-functional community, and structured career framework.

Responsibilities

- Lead execution of the product roadmap across two core product areas, translating strategy into shipped features and measurable outcomes delivered reliably. - Collaborate daily with engineering to plan, scope, sequence work, and remove barriers to delivery, including within AI-assisted development cycles. - Write clear requirements, define acceptance criteria, maintain the backlog, and make thoughtful prioritization decisions across competing priorities. - Discover and validate opportunities by combining customer feedback, usage data, and market analysis, building on OpenTelemetry-native strengths. - Partner with design to develop user flows and prototypes for pipeline configuration, routing, and fleet management experiences. - Lead pre-release activities, early-adopter programs, beta feedback loops, and incorporate sales input to iterate toward general availability. - Work with product marketing and go-to-market teams to shape messaging, define launch plans, and enable sales, support, and customer success on new capabilities. - Anticipate risks, develop mitigation plans, and keep delivery on track as scope and team size grow. - Represent the product externally with customers, partners, and at industry events.

Requirements

- 5 or more years of product management experience with a track record of shipping product informed by research, data, and industry trends. - Familiarity with observability, telemetry, or cloud-native technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or GCP; deep expertise is not required but a willingness to ramp quickly is. - Experience taking features to market, including go-to-market plans, KPIs, and enabling sales and customer success. - Solid technical depth to engage productively with engineering counterparts and contribute to architectural discussions. - Demonstrated ability to write clear requirements and make trade-off decisions across multiple priorities. - Experience collaborating across engineering, design, and go-to-market functions in a growing product environment.
