Senior Product Owner

Role overview Hands-on Senior Product Owner serving as the execution lead bridging business priorities and day-to-day engineering work inside a lean, fast-moving SaaS product organization. The role owns backlog prioritization, untangles complex functional dependencies, and drives features across the finish line with a focus on speed, clarity, and quality.

Responsibilities - Partner closely with engineering leads and developers to ensure work is well-structured, clearly understood, and progressing toward launch commitments. - Actively manage and prioritize the team backlog, balancing new feature requests, customer bug fixes, technical debt, and operational improvements. - Dig into complex business logic, edge cases, system dependencies, and workflows to produce clear, unambiguous user stories and acceptance criteria. - Facilitate crisp Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, story mapping, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups, focused on team throughput. - Proactively identify dependencies, clear impediments, and negotiate solutions when technical or business challenges arise during a sprint. - Collaborate with Design, Customer Support, Implementation, and Product Strategy to gather requirements, manage expectations, and support smooth release rollouts. - Review completed stories against acceptance criteria to ensure delivered features meet functional standards before release.

Requirements - 5+ years of direct experience as a Product Owner or Lead Business Analyst driving software delivery in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment. - Demonstrated experience handling complex SaaS workflows, B2B software systems, or financial/payroll/HR domain logic, with FinTech background preferred. - Comfortable diving into technical details, complex workflows, and data structures alongside developers. - Confident making pragmatic trade-off decisions between speed, scope, and technical quality. - Clear, concise story-writing skills and effective meeting facilitation that keeps cross-functional teams aligned. - Highly autonomous self-starter who takes ownership of problems and drives them to resolution without waiting for direction. - Hands-on proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro; bachelor's degree preferred; CSPO, CSM, or equivalent certification is a plus.
