Role overview
The Solutions Consultant supports sales and prospective customers by translating business needs into practical technical solutions. The role combines discovery, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept development, technical presentations, and customer guidance, with a focus on helping prospects understand how software can improve efficiency and adoption. This is an individual contributor position that works closely with sales, engineering, customers, and partners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and software demonstrations for customers and prospects. - Work with customers and engineers to identify solution needs, define requirements, and clarify technical constraints. - Partner with sales teams to understand account priorities and provide technical support throughout the buying process. - Create demonstrations, prototypes, and proofs of concept to address customer problems and show potential solutions. - Adapt proposed products and workflows to meet customer requirements, including recommending changes that may reduce costs or improve productivity. - Support order renewal and delivery activities while contributing feedback to product research and development.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience as a technology solutions consultant. - At least three years supporting sales teams and answering customers’ technical questions. - At least three years helping customers solve problems through demonstrations and proofs of concept. - Fluent spoken English. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Willingness to travel when needed.
Nice to have
- Experience delivering software demonstrations both in person and virtually. - Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, or content management platforms. - Understanding of web services, SOAP and REST APIs, HTML, XML, structured data, or website development. - Experience preparing workflow diagrams, proposals, statements of work, RFPs, or RFIs. - Familiarity with electronic signature concepts.
