Staff Technical Product Manager
Job details
About this role
Role overview Own product strategy for software that protects devices across supported operating systems. This staff-level technical product role starts with open-ended problems and turns them into clear roadmaps, engineering work, and usable customer capabilities. A central focus is how endpoint protection should handle changing device activity, including AI tools and agents, while balancing visibility, security, encryption, and privacy.
Responsibilities - Set the strategy, roadmap, and backlog for endpoint protection across supported operating systems. - Define product controls and visibility for AI activity on devices, including use of tools and agents. - Shape deployment and operation in environments the product team does not control, including MDM, RMM, scripts, VPNs, and software conflicts. - Decide what device activity to inspect, record, and retain, making privacy and encryption trade-offs explicit. - Design product experiences and data so capabilities are usable, configurable, and measurable. - Work closely with engineering and architecture on feasibility, sequencing, and trade-offs; write roadmaps and detailed work items. - Represent the product with customers, partners, and prospects across different market segments, and participate in interviews.
Requirements - At least eight years of product management experience, including substantial work on security, networking, or endpoint products. - Understanding of traffic interception, inspection, filtering, or isolation, and the related encryption and privacy trade-offs. - Experience with software deployed to devices outside your control, including deployment tools, network conditions, and software conflicts. - A record of taking ambiguous problems through to shipped products. - Experience designing for technical users, including interfaces, reporting, and supporting data. - Comfort working directly with engineers on both strategy and detailed requirements. - Practical use of AI tools to improve work, with judgment about where they help. - Strong communication across technical and nontechnical audiences; ability to overlap with Eastern Time work hours. - Must already be eligible to work in the hiring region without employer sponsorship.
Nice to have - Experience with multi-tenant, white-label, or partner-delivered products. - Background in engineering, solutions architecture, or security research. - Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, product analytics, or customer feedback tools.
Benefits and work setup - Full-time remote role, with preference for US candidates in Eastern or Central time zones. - US base salary range: $175,000–$185,000. - Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life coverage for employees in the US, UK, and Canada; retirement savings with company matching for eligible employees. - Flexible vacation, a paid company-wide year-end week off, and annual in-person gatherings.
