Senior Product Security Engineer

Role overview Help product and engineering teams identify and reduce security risks while products and features are being designed. Responsibilities - Assess software and network architectures across infrastructure, applications, people, and processes, and provide security risk guidance. - Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to model threats and design secure, resilient systems. - Explain design trade-offs and recommend approaches that meet both product goals and security needs. - Give development teams actionable, hands-on remediation guidance and help them respond to security vulnerabilities and events. - Promote security practices through training, internal exercises, and mentoring; contribute to vulnerability management. - Build or integrate security tools and automate engineering workflows to make safer patterns easier to follow.

Requirements - Experience leading architectural changes or cross-team work to address security vulnerabilities. - Ability to explain security concepts and vulnerability classes clearly and give product teams practical direction. - A track record of working empathetically with engineering teams on security issues across a technology stack. - Working knowledge of modern development environments, including virtualization, containers, and continuous integration and delivery.

Nice to have - At least three years guiding software teams on secure architecture. - Experience creating or reviewing threat models, including attacker and misuse scenarios. - Familiarity with hardware and software supply chain security. - Understanding of object-oriented and functional programming, especially in Go, JavaScript, Rust, or C.
