About this role
Role overview
This hands-on role builds and improves the systems that support go-to-market teams, including customer and sales workflows, data movement, and automation. The engineer owns defined projects from design through rollout, resolves complex system issues, and helps introduce AI-powered workflows. The work combines business-systems administration, integrations, data troubleshooting, and practical coordination with program and engineering partners.
Responsibilities - Deliver tool implementations, integrations, workflow automation, and cross-system improvements from requirements through testing, release, and team enablement. - Investigate escalated workflow failures, integration problems, data-model questions, and issues that cross multiple systems; identify root causes and implement lasting fixes. - Build and maintain API- and integration-platform-based data flows, keeping key records and routing information consistent across systems and a data warehouse. - Create AI-assisted automations for tasks such as triage, data enrichment, and capturing next steps; identify other opportunities to reduce manual work. - Configure core customer and sales systems, including complex workflows, data structures, permissions, and release processes. - Document solutions, establish reusable patterns, work with vendors, and help a less experienced teammate develop troubleshooting skills.
Requirements - At least five years building or administering go-to-market or business systems, with deep experience in a major customer relationship platform and hands-on experience in at least two other system categories. - A record of shipping end-to-end implementations, integrations, or process automations that operate reliably in production. - Experience building and debugging integrations through APIs or integration platforms, including authentication, sync direction, rate limits, and failure handling. - Working knowledge of SQL and data warehouse concepts, with the ability to trace data issues between systems. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills: scope unclear requests, explain tradeoffs, and address root causes. - Familiarity with code such as Apex, Python, or JavaScript, plus experience or demonstrated interest in AI agents, language-model automation, or related integrations.
Nice to have
Advanced administrator or platform-builder certifications for the primary customer relationship system are a plus.
