About this role
Role overview A Solution Engineer on the Solution Advisory Team partners with customers, agencies, and partners to extend and personalize a core platform through tailored integrations and add-ons. The position sits within Technical Services, reports to the Sr. Director, and blends hands-on coding, customer onboarding, and pre-sales technical support. Roughly 20% travel is expected for on-site customer work.
Responsibilities - Onboard and guide external developers building on the Illuminate platform, including account configuration and setup. - Serve as a subject matter expert on internal tools and APIs, scripting master data imports and custom exports. - Build real-time integrations against vendor and partner services, and develop add-on functionality using web-based tooling such as Node.js and JavaScript. - Partner with customer engineers, product managers, and other technical contacts to design well-fitted solutions. - Contribute to sales demos and proof-of-concept applications, and provide second- and third-level technical support. - Collaborate across internal teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs and support the broader goals of the Solution Advisory Team.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. - 3+ years of production-level programming experience with fluency in JavaScript, particularly Node.js. - Working knowledge of additional languages such as C++, Java, Bash, or Python. - Comfort supporting customers directly and translating technical detail into business value.
Nice to have - Experience integrating with third-party platforms, building data pipelines, or working in a solutions engineering capacity.
