SW Development Engineer 1

Role overview

Build and maintain cloud software and data platform services that support reliable pipelines, storage, and APIs. You’ll work with platform engineers and a broader multidisciplinary team to deliver scalable systems, including integrations with machine learning and AI applications. The work follows an Agile development process and must meet the quality expectations of regulated medical software.

Responsibilities

- Develop highly available, scalable cloud services and integrations. - Contribute across the software lifecycle, from design and coding to functional and performance testing, documentation, and design verification. - Improve data delivery and platform efficiency, including by automating manual processes and addressing scalability, maintainability, and cost. - Review code and promote sound development, testing, and deployment practices. - Learn existing application designs and help maintain and update them. - Support quality teams with diagnosing and resolving test and production issues; participate in an on-call rotation when needed.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, typically with 0–2 years of related experience. - Strong programming ability; Kotlin or Java is preferred, while experience in another major language may also fit. - Familiarity with modern software testing tools and practices. - Ability to learn new tools and technologies and manage changing priorities and concurrent work.
