About this role
Role overview Build and support custom Salesforce applications and integrations used by sales, customer experience, and partner teams. You’ll handle the full development lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing, deployment, and production support, with work delivered through source control and automated release pipelines.
Responsibilities - Develop event-driven integrations that account for duplicate or delayed messages, retries, failures, and support diagnostics. - Build REST APIs and outbound connections to external services, including solutions using platform events and change data capture. - Develop and maintain Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flow automation, choosing the right approach for scale and testability. - Design bulk-safe Apex around platform limits, record locking, and asynchronous processing constraints. - Protect personal and health information through suitable access controls, least privilege, and careful handling of logs. - Write tests for normal and failure cases, deploy through Git-based CI/CD, and investigate production issues across system boundaries.
Requirements - Typically five or more years of Salesforce development experience, or equivalent experience delivering and supporting production systems. - Strong Apex, SOQL, bulk processing, asynchronous processing, and automated testing skills. - Experience with REST or event-driven integrations that handle retries, duplicate messages, and partial failures. - Ability to build and debug Flow and Lightning Web Components using modern JavaScript, and to explain when Apex is more suitable. - Familiarity with Salesforce data models, sharing and access controls, Salesforce CLI, Git, and automated deployments. - Ability to troubleshoot production problems, review code, and explain technical choices to business partners.
Nice to have - Experience with Apex design patterns, dependency injection, and mocking tools. - Integrations involving customer data, contact centers, marketing, identity, or partner systems. - Insurance or financial services experience, privacy and consent requirements, or Salesforce Platform Developer II certification. - Familiarity with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud, Snowflake, and automated CI/CD workflows.
