Sr. Fullstack Engineer (Python-Javascript/Typescript)

Role overview

Develop integrations between business intelligence tools and a query engine, along with converters that translate external semantic models into an internal format. The work combines full-stack engineering with analytical query semantics, requiring attention to authentication, correctness, performance, and reliability across different data systems.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain integrations for tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and Looker. - Create converters that map external semantic models into SML. - Handle cross-protocol challenges involving SQL and analytical languages such as MDX and DAX. - Ensure integrations manage authentication, session handling, query accuracy, and performance. - Investigate customer issues and turn recurring problems into lasting fixes. - Improve automated test coverage across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Requirements

- At least five years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. - Strong engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping production software; integration, plugin, or SDK work is relevant. - Practical SQL experience and exposure to analytical query languages such as MDX or DAX. - Familiarity with OAuth, tokens, and session management. - Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, including request and response mocking. - Sound judgment when using AI-assisted development tools, including knowing when human review is needed.

Nice to have

- Experience with semantic layers, OLAP, BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos, or BI drivers and connector ecosystems.
