Job details
About this role
Role overview
As a Senior Applied AI Engineer focused on financial services, you will create the domain blueprint for governed AI agents used across banking, markets and insurance. The work combines production LLM engineering with financial-domain modelling, compliance-aware workflow design and deployment into regulated environments. This is a full-time role based in London with remote flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Build financial-services agents, reusable skills, orchestration patterns and knowledge packs. - Translate financial-domain expertise and regulatory expectations into practical workflow controls. - Incorporate auditability, risk management and FCA-aware governance into agent behaviour. - Ground agents in reliable financial knowledge and establish rigorous evaluation methods. - Work with forward-deployed engineering teams to release solutions into regulated production settings. - Help ensure delivered workflows meet the expectations of operational, compliance and audit stakeholders.
Requirements
- Production experience developing applied AI or LLM-powered systems. - Strong understanding of software engineering practices for reliable, maintainable delivery. - Exposure to financial-services environments is strongly preferred. - Demonstrated care for compliance, risk, safety and audit requirements. - Ability to evaluate agent quality systematically rather than relying on demonstrations alone. - A practical, delivery-focused mindset and the persistence to finish production work.
Benefits and work setup
- Full-time position with London listed as the primary location and remote work available. - Remote-friendly arrangements across the UK, EU and selected global time zones. - Seed-stage equity allocation for each hire. - Cash compensation benchmarked against leading London and remote-market roles.
