About this role
Role overview Conduct iOS security research and exploit analysis to strengthen mobile threat detection. The work spans low-level operating system research, vulnerability proof-of-concept development, exploit integration, and turning findings into practical detection methods. This is a full-time remote position on a globally distributed team.
Responsibilities - Integrate zero-day and known exploits into mobile threat detection capabilities. - Compare software updates to identify patched vulnerabilities and understand exploitation methods. - Investigate iOS userland services, kernel subsystems, and other low-level components. - Develop proof-of-concept code for known vulnerabilities. - Analyze crash reports, diagnostic logs, and filesystem artifacts to assess possible device exploitation. - Convert research findings into detection rules and standalone tools.
Requirements - At least 3 years in security research, vulnerability research, or exploit development, with strong iOS expertise. - Experience developing and integrating exploits. - Deep knowledge of iOS userland and kernel internals, including mitigations such as PAC and MTE. - Strong ARM64 assembly skills and proficiency in C/C++, Objective-C, and Python scripting. - Experience with IDA Pro or comparable reverse engineering tools. - Clear communication, careful problem solving, and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have - Mobile forensic analysis or mobile threat detection experience. - Familiarity with security, forensic analysis, or reverse engineering tools.
