Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain software across distributed systems, machine learning components, user interfaces, mobile platforms, and cloud services. - Apply engineering best practices to write high-quality, maintainable code and make sound technical decisions. - Mentor junior developers, share knowledge, and help raise the technical bar of the team. - Contribute opinions on technology investments, architectural direction, and engineering tooling. - Collaborate across disciplines to deliver reliable, production-ready systems.
Requirements - Typically 5 or more years of professional software development experience at the senior level. - Strong object-oriented design skills with proficiency in at least one of C++, C#, or Java. - Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, databases, and distributed systems. - A track record of completing technically challenging work and demonstrating consistent execution. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Strong communication, autonomy, and ability to mentor others.
Nice to have - Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and how they fit into engineering workflows.
Benefits and work setup - Hybrid arrangement with an expectation of roughly three days per week in office. - Base salary range of approximately $90,000 to $130,000 CAD, with potential eligibility for additional benefits such as a wellness subsidy, equity grants, and variable incentive. - Tuition reimbursement up to $4,000 CAD, paid skills development days, mental health and financial planning resources, retirement planning support, two paid volunteer days, home internet reimbursement, wellness reimbursement, referral program, and social events.
