Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview

Keep the infrastructure used for software development, testing, and product demonstrations reliable and useful. You’ll respond to incidents across Kubernetes, CI systems, virtual machines, and related environments, investigate problems across system layers, and turn recurring issues into automation and clearer operational practices. The role includes on-call coverage and ownership from diagnosis through resolution.

Responsibilities

- Respond to and resolve issues affecting Kubernetes clusters, CI systems and runners, virtual machines, standalone systems, and demo environments. - Coordinate with IT or product software teams when an incident crosses team boundaries. - Reduce repeat incidents by creating automation, alerts, and runbooks. - Improve monitoring so real problems are detected sooner and false alarms are reduced. - Handle operational maintenance such as upgrades, patching, certificate renewal, and capacity checks. - Build improvements used by the wider team and contribute to system design as your scope grows. - Participate in on-call support for the environment.

Requirements

- At least two years operating production Linux systems, including hands-on Kubernetes troubleshooting. - Methodical debugging skills and the ability to investigate across system layers. - Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or both. - Familiarity with CI/CD systems, with GitLab experience preferred. - Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as DNS, routing, load balancing, and TLS. - Experience with monitoring or observability tools and clear communication during incidents. - Curiosity about unfamiliar systems and the ability to learn how inference environments are built.

Nice to have

- Kubernetes experience with GPU or other accelerator nodes. - Infrastructure-as-code experience, such as Ansible or Terraform. - Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana. - Bare-metal or on-premises infrastructure experience, or CKA/CKAD certification.
