Network and Systems Engineer

Role overview Design, build and secure resilient network and infrastructure systems spanning physical and virtual environments. You’ll handle complex operational issues, act as a senior escalation resource, and help improve engineering standards and team capability. The work involves close coordination with technical teams and may include travel for system integration.

Responsibilities - Architect and maintain hardened, highly available network environments and supporting infrastructure. - Diagnose complex failures across routing, switching, firewalls, virtual machines, storage and compute, and determine root causes. - Serve as an escalation point for difficult infrastructure anomalies and guide resolution. - Maintain engineering standards and promote improvements, including the adoption of appropriate technologies. - Coordinate with internal and external project teams, representing the technical function in meetings. - Share expertise and mentor engineers to strengthen operational practices.

Requirements - Expert network engineering experience across infrastructure systems in a changing environment. - Ability to work independently on sophisticated tasks with limited supervision. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across physical and virtual infrastructure. - Confidence communicating technical matters with specialists from different disciplines. - Initiative to identify improvements and introduce suitable technologies.
