Agentic Engineer

Role overview An engineering role shipping production software where AI coding agents are a core part of the daily toolkit. The work centers on breaking problems into clear pieces, writing the specs and guardrails that direct agent output, and reviewing every result with the judgment of a seasoned engineer. Language fluency matters less than the engineering underneath: how work is decomposed, where boundaries are drawn, how data moves through a system, what is deliberately left out, and how plausible answers are separated from correct ones.

Responsibilities - Decompose features and tasks into well-scoped pieces that coding agents can execute against - Draft specifications, prompts, and guardrails that frame the work for an AI coding agent - Review agent-generated code with a senior engineer's eye, catching defects that read well on the surface - Make systems-level decisions about data models, interfaces, and failure modes - Evaluate trade-offs and decide what to build, defer, or cut based on real engineering judgment - Communicate approach, risks, and decisions clearly with the rest of the team

Requirements - 7+ years of professional software engineering experience - Hands-on production experience with Claude Code or an equivalent AI coding agent - Sharp ability to spot flaws in code that looks correct at a glance - Systems thinking across data flow, boundaries, and failure scenarios - Advanced English for written and verbal communication - Sound judgment under ambiguity, with willingness to update views when evidence changes
