Role overview This remote Field Application Engineer position supports East Coast customers adopting Silicon Carbide (SiC) power technology across automotive, industrial and energy, and AI and data center applications. The role serves as the primary technical liaison, driving design wins and coordinating execution across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC during a period of large-scale 200mm SiC manufacturing ramp-up.
Responsibilities - Act as the global technical lead for assigned customers, coordinating FAE, sales, and engineering teams across regions. - Provide system-level guidance on SiC MOSFET and module implementation, switching optimization, gate drive design, thermal performance, and EMI mitigation. - Support automotive-grade qualification and reliability activities, including AEC-Q, PPAP, and mission profile analysis. - Identify and grow platform-level opportunities, promoting design reuse across automotive, energy, and AI infrastructure programs. - Partner with device engineering, product marketing, quality, operations, supply chain, and capacity planning teams. - Lead technical design reviews, workshops, failure analysis discussions, customer audits, and executive engagements, with international travel as needed.
Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. - Five or more years of experience in power electronics applications, FAE, or system design roles. - Deep expertise with SiC MOSFETs, power modules, and high-voltage power conversion (400V to 1200V+). - Background supporting automotive, industrial power, or data center applications. - Demonstrated ability to coordinate across global regions and influence large EMS organizations. - Strong communication skills with both engineers and executive stakeholders.
Nice to have - Familiarity with AEC-Q, ISO 26262, high-volume manufacturing ramps, AI data center power architectures, reliability analysis, and field failure diagnostics.
