Own the strategic roadmap for an AI Assistant that acts as a marketing companion for small and midsize businesses on a SaaS platform. The role leads a critical company initiative end-to-end, shaping a product that helps customers create emails, generate social posts, and analyze marketing performance. It sits at the intersection of LLMs, user experience, and business outcomes, and reports into senior product leadership.
Responsibilities
- Set and drive the multi-quarter product roadmap for the AI Assistant as a core platform capability. - Own the full product lifecycle, from problem definition and prioritization through delivery with engineering and design partners. - Improve adoption and engagement by understanding SMB marketing workflows and removing friction from AI-assisted tasks. - Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success to communicate value and sharpen competitive positioning. - Define success metrics, build the business case for AI investments, and track ROI on acquisition and retention. - Mentor other product managers on best practices for building AI-powered products. - Represent the AI Assistant vision in company strategy forums and keep it aligned with broader platform priorities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years owning AI or ML-powered products in production. - Track record of taking a product from good to best-in-class within a competitive category. - Bias for shipping and learning quickly rather than perfecting before launch. - Deep intuition for small business customers, their constraints, and what good-enough looks like for them. - Strong customer research and usability testing practice, including direct engagement with end users. - Working understanding of how LLMs behave, where they break, and what makes AI features feel magical rather than gimmicky. - Data-driven decision-making with experience querying modern analytics environments to diagnose why things work or fail. - Experience mentoring other product managers and elevating the team around you. - Clear communication skills for translating technical AI capabilities into business value for any audience.
