Role overview A global, remote-first Web3 platform team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join its Predict team, focused on embedding prediction-market functionality directly into a self-custodial wallet. The work spans front-end and back-end engineering, real-time data handling, and secure integration with on-chain protocols serving users in roughly 190 countries. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast, autonomy-driven, distributed engineering environment and is passionate about decentralized finance and consumer-grade crypto experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement front-end components and user experience for prediction market interactions across wallet clients, including mobile and browser surfaces. - Develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs to fetch real-time market data, manage user positions, and facilitate transaction signing. - Integrate securely with on-chain prediction market protocols, ensuring correct interaction with smart contracts and wallet flows. - Optimize the performance and security of all prediction-market features, handling real-time data feeds and high transaction throughput.
Requirements
- 3+ years working with mobile-based technologies and 3+ years building websites or applications. - Experience with React and React Native and strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6/TypeScript). - Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals and Web3 integration, plus working knowledge of cross-platform and browser compatibility. - Experience with APIs and middleware services, agile development, clean code practices, testing, and coding standards. - Understanding of web-based security considerations.
Nice to have
- Experience with prediction markets, token trading, sports betting, or DeFi protocols. - Knowledge of digital financial products, cryptography principles, and the Web3 wallet ecosystem. - Previous Web3 experience, performance optimization work, and comfort in distributed teams.
