Senior Profile Developer

Role overview

A senior-level software engineering role focused on extending and maintaining a major core banking platform used by large financial institutions. The position centers on developing, debugging, and supporting code written in Profile Scripting Language (PSL) and MUMPs, including system upgrades, conversions, and ongoing platform enhancements. It is a specialized back-end engineering opportunity suited to someone fluent in legacy financial-systems stacks and modern tooling.

Responsibilities

- Design, code, and debug logic in PSL/MUMPs within a large-scale core banking environment. - Build new application components and modify existing modules to deliver platform improvements. - Test, integrate, and deploy code changes as part of system upgrades and conversions. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting to keep the platform reliable and performant. - Partner with engineering and product teams across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Requirements

- At least three years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining a Profile-based core banking system in PSL/MUMPs. - Working knowledge of the FIS Core Banking Platform. - Familiarity with GT.M Database. - Understanding of financial-industry operations and regulations, particularly deposits, loans, and debit-card processing. - Strong analytical ability and clear communication skills for cross-team collaboration. - Bachelor's degree, or progressively responsible technology experience in lieu of a degree.

- Automated testing with Z-Unit. - Unix-based application or infrastructure support. - BSH shell scripting. - AWS services such as EC2, S3, and CloudWatch. - Tidal Automation/Scheduler experience.
