Senior AI Engineer — India

Role overview

This is a senior, fully remote engineering role on an India-based team that builds applied AI products. The work centers on intelligent agents and the orchestration layer that allows teams of agents to automate real, end-to-end business workflows. Engineers in this role keep meaningful overlap with US working hours within an asynchronous, outcome-driven culture, and they operate as technical leaders rather than ticket-takers.

Responsibilities

- Own AI systems end-to-end, from architecture and system design through production deployment at scale - Design and lead agent teams, including both worker agents and the oversight agents that supervise them - Define how retrieval, model pipelines, and orchestration fit together as a coherent whole, and set the technical standards the broader team follows - Run the full machine learning lifecycle, covering data, serving, and ongoing monitoring in production - Convert ambiguous product goals into reliable systems, and mentor other engineers to raise the overall technical bar

Requirements

- Significant senior-level engineering experience with end-to-end ownership of AI or ML systems in production - Strong background in architecture and system design for agent-based or AI-driven products - Practical experience with retrieval, model pipelines, and the orchestration patterns that connect them - Track record of deploying and operating AI systems reliably at scale, including monitoring and maintenance - Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction across a team

Nice to have

- Experience designing multi-agent systems, including oversight or supervisor patterns - Comfort working asynchronously with overlapping US time zones on a shared codebase and roadmap
