Engineering Manager - AutoReview

Role overview This Engineering Manager position leads a team building AI-powered capabilities that automate mechanical design review for complex manufactured products such as vehicles, medical devices, and aerospace components. It is a people leadership role that still demands real technical depth in web architecture and geometric or 3D systems, partnering closely with Product to translate broad direction into a confident roadmap the team can execute against.

Responsibilities - Lead, coach, and support engineers working on AI-driven automated design review capabilities - Partner with Product to define priorities, assess feasibility, scope initiatives, and build realistic timelines - Maintain technical context across projects to surface risks, dependencies, and questionable assumptions early - Help deliver major initiatives including design-for-manufacturing checks, assembly analysis, and bulk review workflows - Coordinate across Engineering, Product, and applied ML teams as the product expands into areas where ownership and approaches are still evolving - Refocus the team quickly when priorities shift due to new customer insight, technical developments, or advances in AI and machine learning

Requirements - Experience managing software engineers in a technically complex product domain - Strong technical foundation in modern web application and software architecture - Background with geometric processing, 3D/CAD applications, graphics, or similar technical systems - Demonstrated ability to partner with Product on roadmap planning, feasibility, estimation, and prioritization - Comfort navigating evolving AI/ML technologies and understanding how they affect product and architecture decisions - Ability to move quickly through new information, make thoughtful decisions, and communicate tradeoffs clearly

Nice to have - Hands-on familiarity with CAD tooling, geometric kernels, 3D graphics pipelines, or adjacent technical domains - Experience building trust-based boundaries between Engineering and Product ownership
