Network Engineer with Python

Role overview Build and maintain Python-based automated tests for software-defined networking and network operating system solutions. You’ll extend test frameworks and lab environments, validate networking behavior on advanced equipment, and work with project teammates and customer architects to make sure testing meets technical needs.

Responsibilities - Develop automated network tests in Python and contribute features to existing test frameworks. - Configure and automate test environments to expand testbed capabilities. - Validate solutions involving network equipment and software, collaborating with architects on test methods. - Maintain project documentation and work with development, QA automation, and DevOps colleagues.

Requirements - Strong networking knowledge, including switching, routing, BGP, ECMP, link aggregation, and tunneling such as VXLAN, GRE, or VPNs. - Hands-on experience configuring routers, switches, network interface cards, or similar hardware. - Python programming experience and familiarity with test frameworks such as PyTest or PyATS. - Experience with Linux, Git, and CI/CD tools or processes. - English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have - CCNP-level knowledge, SD-WAN experience, or experience with traffic generators. - Familiarity with network virtualization tools such as OVS, GoBGP, or FRRouting. - Understanding of containers, virtual machines, orchestration, or virtual networks, including Docker, KVM, OpenStack, or Kubernetes. - Practical use of AI coding tools for test development, review, or troubleshooting.
