About this role
Role overview Coach a portfolio of early-career fellows as they build and apply AI-enabled solutions within host organizations. The role connects project work, technical learning, and workplace development: helping fellows clarify problems, navigate stakeholders, communicate their ideas, and turn solutions into work that organizations can adopt. It combines individual coaching, feedback on deliverables, milestone reviews, and pattern-spotting across a distributed cohort.
Responsibilities - Guide fellows through ambiguous assignments, helping them understand organizational needs, identify stakeholders, and choose practical next steps. - Hold regular one-to-ones, office hours, and cohort sessions; document progress, challenges, and achievements. - Review project plans, roadmaps, technical proposals, presentations, and implementations, offering actionable feedback. - Coach communication, prioritization, stakeholder management, presentation, and response to feedback. - Lead milestone reviews, identify fellows who need support or new challenges, and share progress with program leadership. - Deliver learning modules and surface recurring technical or organizational needs to the appropriate program teams.
Requirements - Enough technical fluency to understand fellows’ work, learn unfamiliar systems, and help reason about AI-enabled solutions; deep software engineering specialization is not required. - Experience navigating ambiguity and supporting people or organizations through technology adoption. - Strong coaching judgment, feedback skills, and ability to guide early-career professionals through workplace dynamics. - Clear written and verbal communication and comfort working with a distributed portfolio of fellows and host organizations. - Availability for remote synchronous work across U.S. time zones, including approximately two evenings per month for cohort sessions and milestone reviews.
Nice to have - Background in engineering, consulting, implementation, technical program management, AI enablement, education, or another client-facing technical field. - Experience mentoring or teaching early-career technical talent, facilitating workshops, or supporting adoption of AI, automation, or other new tools. - Experience in nonprofits, education, small organizations, or other settings where understanding business context matters alongside technical delivery.
Benefits and work setup - Full-time, remote U.S. employee role with annual compensation of $110,000–$124,500. - Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings, paid leave and holidays, parental leave, a professional development stipend, and home-office support.
