Sovereign Cloud Solution Architect

Role overview This mid-senior level Solutions Architect role drives adoption of a hybrid data and analytics platform running on AWS, GCP, and Azure public cloud environments. The position partners with strategic customers to identify use cases, shape best practices, and guide proof-of-concept engagements for Big Data, machine learning, and AI workloads. It bridges engineering and field teams, contributing thought leadership internally and externally while operating with broad autonomy.

Responsibilities - Provide deep technical guidance on running ETL, analytical, streaming, and ML/AI workloads on public cloud infrastructure - Partner with customer cloud and information security teams to explain deployment prerequisites - Onboard proof-of-concept and pilot customers onto the cloud-based platform - Advise on optimal configurations for Big Data workloads, balancing performance and cost effectiveness - Lead enablement workshops and evangelize cloud data use cases at industry events - Coordinate with security and compliance teams to align deployments with customer governance rules - Relay customer feature requests to product management to inform roadmap direction

Requirements - Five or more years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting capacity, ideally spanning multiple public clouds - Hands-on experience implementing Data and AI solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP using services analogous to EMR, HDInsight, Dataproc, Spark, Presto, Solr, or Elasticsearch - Comfort programming in at least one of Python, Bash, or SQL, with working knowledge of REST APIs - Self-directed work style within a small, agile, and globally distributed team - Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally as conditions permit

Nice to have - Public Cloud certifications in architecture, security, or development - Multilingual ability, public speaking, technical marketing, or production-grade coding background - Experience presenting to multinational enterprise or government audiences, including executive stakeholders
