Langfuse - DevRel Engineer, Events & Community (AMER)

Role overview

This is a developer relations position focused on events and community for an open-source LLM engineering platform that has grown largely through product-led adoption. The team now wants to invest more deliberately in-person, turning conference demos, workshops, and small technical gatherings into durable momentum with high-signal developer audiences. Travel across the US will be a meaningful part of the job, with occasional international trips when audience fit warrants it, and the focus is on making the right events excellent, scalable, and measurable rather than attending every event.

Responsibilities

- Represent the product at conferences, meetups, workshops, customer events, partner events, and community gatherings across the US - Run live demos and technical sessions on tracing, evals, prompt management, datasets, metrics, and related LLM engineering workflows - Build and maintain field-ready material such as demo flows, workshop runbooks, talk abstracts, event landing pages, follow-up emails, signup flows, and conference-in-a-box assets - Organize product-hosted meetups, workshops, dinners, and smaller technical gatherings around the highest-quality audiences - Partner with field marketing, sales, solutions, product marketing, and engineering teams to help the product show up well in person - Translate event learnings into sharper messaging, better demos, improved docs, stronger talks, customer stories, and product feedback

Requirements

- Background in developer relations, product marketing engineering, solutions engineering, field engineering, developer advocacy, or a similar technical community role - Track record of speaking at developer conferences, meetups, workshops, webinars, or technical customer events - Experience creating technical content such as demos, videos, talks, open source projects, or educational material - Enthusiasm for giving talks, running demos, hosting events, and engaging with developers and technical leaders - Genuine care for developer experience, open source, and AI engineering, and a discerning view on which audiences matter most - Ability to operate comfortably with ambiguity and make independent decisions before a mature playbook exists - Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely

Nice to have

- Former engineer or deeply technical operator who can credibly explain software to experienced developers - Ability to write code to build, debug, and maintain demo or workshop material - Depth in AI engineering, LLM observability, evals, agents, or developer tools - Original technical opinions that experienced developers find valuable
