Client Success Support Specialist (Seasonal, Hourly)

Role overview

This seasonal, hourly role supports voter outreach by phone, helping members of the public with questions, concerns, and requests related to civic engagement programs. The position is fully remote and serves campaigns, committees, and nonprofit partners working to expand participation in democratic processes. Shifts run during defined daytime windows with the possibility of evenings, weekends, and additional hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities

- Handle inbound and outbound calls, actively listening, empathizing, and offering appropriate guidance or follow-up. - Document interactions accurately in internal support software for reference, reporting, and quality assurance. - Manage complaints and escalations professionally, working to de-escalate tense conversations and find workable resolutions. - Follow established call center procedures, scripts, and compliance guidelines for consistent communication. - Meet performance targets for handle time, call volume, and service levels while adapting to evolving outreach efforts. - Support inbound text message programs when needed, responding through a texting application.

Requirements

- Strong verbal and written communication skills paired with active listening ability. - Customer service orientation with empathy and professionalism in difficult or stressful conversations. - Comfort with computer systems, software, and standard call center technology. - Collaborative mindset and flexibility to adapt as outreach priorities shift. - Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons. - Track record of meeting performance metrics such as average handle time and first-call resolution.

Nice to have

- Prior experience in client success or a call center environment. - Conversational ability in Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Vietnamese, Punjabi, or Bengali.

Benefits and work setup

- Hourly rate of $20 per hour as a seasonal W2 position, running through November with possible extension. - Variable weekly hours, generally between 20 and 40 depending on demand, with scheduled six-hour shifts between 8 am to 8 pm ET. - Fully remote; candidates must supply their own computer or tablet and reliable internet.
