About this role

Role overview Build AI-powered features for products used by care teams and members, taking promising ideas from early prototypes through production. The work spans application design, model integrations, quality measurement, and user experience, with a focus on making features useful, trustworthy, and suitable for a regulated healthcare setting.

Responsibilities - Develop full-stack product features that connect language models and related services to user-facing workflows. - Own feature delivery from system design and integration through evaluation and user experience. - Create monitoring and evaluation methods to measure quality and guide improvements. - Prototype with product and design partners, test ideas with users, and prepare successful concepts for production. - Work with clinical operations and data partners to identify valuable use cases and provide reliable context for AI features. - Help determine when automation is appropriate and when a human should review or guide the outcome.

Requirements - At least four years of engineering experience and a record of delivering full-stack product work. - Experience integrating language model APIs or SDKs into a product, or closely related production experience. - Strong product judgment and ability to connect engineering work to user adoption and measurable value. - Ability to turn well-scoped, ambiguous ideas into working software with increasing independence. - Familiarity with evaluating AI feature quality, or a clear understanding of why evaluation is needed. - Regular use of AI assistants in software development, with sound judgment about their output. - Interest in mission-driven work and ability to collaborate with clinical and design specialists.

Nice to have - Computer science degree or equivalent experience; experience in regulated or compliance-heavy settings. - Experience creating AI product features and their evaluation methods from the ground up. - Ability to prototype user experiences, or experience working with clinical users. - Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, tool calling, structured outputs, or multi-step AI workflows. - Experience with AI evaluation or observability tools and a modern TypeScript, Node, or React stack.

Benefits and work setup The role includes health and life insurance, retirement benefits, equity program participation, and paid vacation and sick leave. Compensation is listed as an annual range of $110,000–$145,000, with the offer depending on qualifications, experience, and location.
