Software Engineer II

Role overview Design and maintain software that supports business needs, contributing to new features as well as improvements to existing systems. The role combines hands-on development with collaboration on technical decisions, software quality, and application operations.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain applications, services, and other software systems. - Work with teammates and stakeholders to clarify technical needs and turn them into practical solutions. - Write clear, efficient, documented code and take part in code reviews, testing, and releases. - Investigate defects, identify root causes, and implement fixes. - Help monitor application health and performance through logging, diagnostics, and alerting. - Contribute to Agile planning, estimates, and risk discussions.

Requirements - Typically, at least three years of relevant software development experience, or a comparable mix of education, training, and experience. - Practical experience with a modern programming language such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. - Experience using AI coding assistants as part of work on an established codebase. - Familiarity with application architecture, APIs, data modeling, and design patterns. - Knowledge of Git or similar source control and CI/CD practices, along with an understanding of performance, scalability, and maintainability. - Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and communicate effectively across teams.

Nice to have - A university degree. - Full stack experience spanning user interfaces, backend services, and databases. - Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices, or containers, and experience with integrations, monitoring, or operational support. - Experience mentoring colleagues or contributing to technical decisions.
