[Job-00022] Senior Backend Engineer (Python), Brazil

Role overview Modernize and scale Python backend services in a cloud-based environment. The work includes moving services from Flask to FastAPI, clarifying API contracts, and evolving orchestration toward a more decoupled design on Azure. The engineer will contribute across implementation, deployment, reliability, and production observability.

Responsibilities - Migrate backend services from Flask to FastAPI, improving maintainability and supporting scale. - Own API specifications and keep them clear and consistent across service integrations. - Develop orchestration flows that connect API requests, multiple processing runs, and downstream integrations. - Help move workloads to queue-based background workers hosted on Azure Container Apps, reducing reliance on a tightly coupled platform. - Implement lifecycle and content-update endpoints, along with persistence for processing results. - Maintain automated tests, CI/CD, and observability; investigate reliability and integration issues with the engineering team.

Requirements - Strong professional experience building backend software in Python. - Hands-on development with Flask and FastAPI, including API design or framework migration. - Ability to document and maintain API specifications and understand service integration and asynchronous processing. - Experience deploying cloud applications on Azure and working with distributed systems, queues, and background workers. - Familiarity with data persistence, API lifecycle management, and reliable service communication. - Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and production observability, along with sound technical judgment and collaborative working habits.

Nice to have - Experience with Azure Container Apps or Azure Machine Learning Studio integrations. - Background decoupling tightly connected services, designing multi-service orchestration, or troubleshooting production systems with monitoring, logs, and traces.
