Senior Python Developer – Fraud Detection & Data Analytics

Role overview

Develop backend capabilities for fraud detection and payment verification, combining secure APIs with analysis of financial transaction data. You’ll take features from design through production and help improve the speed and quality of real-time risk decisions in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities - Design and implement REST APIs for fraud detection and payment verification. - Process transaction data to identify unusual patterns and potential anomalies. - Profile and improve backend performance for timely decision-making. - Build fraud-related features from initial concept through production delivery. - Work with product, engineering, and compliance colleagues on architecture and technical direction.

Requirements - At least five years of Python backend development experience. - Strong knowledge of Django and REST API design, including Django REST Framework. - Experience with relational databases and caching, particularly PostgreSQL and Redis. - Familiarity with fraud detection or financial risk analytics. - Understanding of system design and secure coding practices. - Ability to read technical documentation and communicate in English.

Nice to have

Experience with FastAPI or asynchronous Python, Docker, CI/CD, and AWS; work in fintech or regulated industries; real-time data pipelines or fraud modeling; or familiarity with SEPA and European payment infrastructure. Experience with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or ClickHouse may also be useful.

Benefits and work setup
