Senior Golang Developer – Payment Verification Systems

Role overview

Build backend services for real-time payment verification across European markets. The work centers on high-throughput APIs and dependable, secure systems that help prevent payment fraud, with responsibility spanning implementation, performance, and collaboration across product and compliance functions.

Responsibilities - Design and build REST and gRPC APIs for payment verification workloads. - Improve service performance to support fast responses to verification requests. - Apply security practices for systems handling sensitive financial information. - Work with product, compliance, and customer-facing teams on technical needs. - Contribute to backend architecture and help mentor less experienced developers.

Requirements - At least five years of professional Go development experience. - Experience building REST APIs and microservices. - Strong SQL database knowledge, including query optimization. - Background in payment systems, banking APIs, or financial technology. - Understanding of security practices for financial services. - Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

Experience with SEPA or other banking protocols, fraud detection or risk systems, real-time financial workloads, open-source Go projects, or PCI DSS and GDPR compliance. PostgreSQL, Redis, message queues, and AWS or GCP experience are also relevant.
